Minnie Hates Jazz.

Source: Chicago Sunday Tribune, 25 December 1927, pt. 6, pg. 4.

Dear Mae Tinée: Some time ago I wrote you about things I don't like in the movies. I can see nothing in such people as Paul Ash and his gang, Paul Whiteman, Benny Krueger, and any others of their ilk. I never go to any picture show where they are employed. These people and cheap vaudeville with a picture will eventually kill the picture business. Some of the great film producers are just beginning to realize this. Read what Mr. Stock, leader of the Chicago Symphony orchestra, says about jazz music.

In time, with the aid of a little criticism, you will be able to see things in their right light.

MINNIE M.
